AMAN and Village Dancers
"Living Stories" Forum

SHARE YOUR STORIES of AMAN (big or small group) and/or Village Dancers below as part of a living history FORUM which we hope will eventually be part of AMAN's archive at UCLA.  It's an experiment right now to see how well it goes, hope you'll participate.

INSTRUCTIONS:
  - First JOIN AS A MEMBER of the Forum and arrange your profile like you want.
NOTE:  The only access to this forum will be from this web site.  So it should stay fairly local between AMANites & friends.  In future though, if the need arises I can password protect the forum and share it only with our mailing list.  Give me feedback here as we begin using it.
  - Then CLICK on the NEWS feed and choose an ONGOING POST you'd like to add to.
  - OR start a NEW TOPIC others can join in on.

When you post a "NEW TOPIC" story to the NEWS feed:

  - Please write your full name and the decade(s) you were in AMAN IN THE BODY OF THE MESSAGE at the head of your story.
If you like, you may also add what you did in the group.
  - AND when prompted to do so, please check the box to make your "beginning" story a "STICKY" post, meaning it will always stay on top of the reply's.  Thanks!
**Sounds like a lot, but do it once and it's actually easy to get the hang of!

Example:
Jane Doe - 70's & 80's -  Dancer in the Middle Eastern Section - "On the No. CA tour we were Banned in Angwin!  They didn't seem to appreciate our undulating hips" ..etc.

A Few Helpful Guidelines:
- Please  keep posts on-topic with your personal memories/stories of AMAN and/or Village Dancers - No Off-Topic Posts to advertise events or personal interests.

  - It is okay to post multiple NEW TOPICS over time.. no need to tell all your stories in one sitting.  This is a living oratory and we will build on each others remembrances.. all part of the fun!

  - Be Kind and Play Nice in your posts please. There are always ups & downs in any group, but this is not the place for venting!  Historically correct is cool, but keep it civil or be deleted.

Thanks!
