AMAN Folk Ensemble Channel
CALL FOR VIDEOS - We are currently trying to gather all moving images (film, video, digital) of AMAN and/or the Village Dancers from our 50+ year history. We know there are numerous clips floating around out there, many of varying quality, format and completeness. Some we already have, some we don't, but our goal is to try and gather them ALL and get them posted onto ONE official "easy to find, join and access" AMAN Folk Ensemble YouTube channel. |

From producing AMAN50, we found that not everyone is on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or MySpace, but almost everyone has access to internet and can view AMAN videos on YouTube (if they know exactly where to look). There are too many clips to have on our web site, and people were having trouble finding the video that's currently available on YouTube because it's scattered around on people's private channels. Many alumni were having difficulty locating them. So.. we thought a worthy project would be to have everything under one common roof so to speak, and posted onto one official AMAN YouTube channel.
With that in mind, Ronda Berkeley has created our official AMAN Folk Ensemble channel on YouTube (click icon above) and will be transferring (over time) the video we currently have on Facebook and MySpace to the new channel. PLUS - If you have any video of AMAN (or even just audio.. old recordings are cool too!) we'd like to hear from you. Even (and especially) if it's currently posted elsewhere (very important!).. won't you please let us add it to our official channel as well? Thanks! Plus, if you have an "original print" of something, please let us know. Some of the video we have has been degraded by many copies and we'd love to go back to the source for a better viewing quality. |
Last, but not least, we are looking for volunteers to help Ronda with this project. We need people computer savvy, or who have experience in transferring film and/or video into a digital format. Is that you? We could sure use your help!
